Demon's Periapt can be bought in bulk from Fournival, and an stack of 4 can be used at one time for a great damage increase for magick on tougher bosses. Grabbing and throwing enemies from a height can be useful, if you find damaging them troublesome. If you're lucky enough to find the Vandal's Ring while exploring Bitterblack Isle, it makes this item far more useful, doubling the damage they cause, and stackable! Carrying 15-20 is a good bet when you're going against some bosses, and of course a few mobs that are highly resistant to magick otherwise. Throwblasts are a wonderful item for the more magically-adepted sorts, and can even handle a few bosses with well-timed throws. Try to have your Main Pawn take on a role opposite to your own for ease, or if you wish to play Bitterblack Isle, the same for more opportunities for role-specific loot, if you do not wish to role-switch during your gameplay. If you're aiming to just start out, I'd suggest carrying a few items with you during your adventures. I had attempted the BBI challenge in due to Taron's video, actually, though I did such in Hard Mode for the extended experience gains, in turn many deaths were had before I completed it. I'm currently about to finish up my 100% Mage character myself! Around 13 levels away from 200. Anyone done it? If so I'd appreciate some tips so I don't get discouraged early. I'm leaning towards mage because I want a real challenge. I'd like to stick with the base vocations so it's either fighter or mage.
